The other large apple tree in the manse garden in now in full bloom. It spends most of its life in shadow so the blossom is always later than on the main tree which gets the sun all day.
This tree is in our “wild corner” and is always surrounded by beautiful bluebells at this time of the year.
Off to Edinburgh for today’s photograph – wonderful evening shot taken from Salisbury Crags above Holyrood by Tom at Weephotos.
Feeling nostalgic for the City, so many happy memories…
“Each morning sees some task begun, each evening sees it close; Something attempted, something done, has earned a night’s repose.”
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Another lovely picture of Ailsa Craig today, taken by Brian Johnstone. This one is called (appropriately) “chip off the old block”.
“May every sunrise
bring you hope.
May every sunset
bring you peace”
Today’s beautiful picture is a view of Ailsa Craig taken from Prestwick Beach, by Brian Johnstone.
“When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen you may learn something new.”
Going back here this summer 😎 – to the city that never sleeps.
I love this photo of Ailsa Craig – it is called “haar” and was taken by Brian Johnston. The effect is so calm, so tranquil. Just looking at it makes me relax.
Only those who have lived on the East Coast of Scotland really appreciate haar. How it rolls in from the sea, turning a warm sunny day cold and colourless in an instant.
Although this photo is anything but colourless – maybe it’s the lighter touch of West Coast haar and sunshine 😄
