Favourite film endings

Given the season … I thought I would post my top ten favourite film endings (in no particular order):

Notting Hill
Apollo 13
The Railway Children
Sleepless in Seattle
It’s a Wonderful Life
White Christmas
Toy Story
Bridget Jones’s Diary
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Planet of the Apes
2001: a space odyssey

Also worthy are:
Sixth Sense

  1. Ah, “It’s a wonderful life” has to be one of the best endings ever. Most of the rest I can’t comment on as I’ve either not seen them (!) or can’t remember the ending.

I’d also suggest “Children of men”, “Up”, “Monsters Inc.”, “28 days later” and “Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 1”. Worryingly, all of those are from this millenium. Need to watch some golden oldies!

  2. Have seen all your ten, but would need prompts to remember some of the endings in detail, I tend to just remember they were good films. How about “A Good Year” and “French Kiss” ?
